Parlophone operated a label in New Zealand, according to the website of an artist who was signed with them, Max Merritt.
- Distribution:
In the 60s and 70s New Zealand Parlophone releases were all manufactured & distributed by His Master's Voice New Zealand, and then once HMV became EMI in the 70s, they were manufactured & distributed by EMI Records New Zealand. Parlophone was presumably a sub-label of HMV/EMI during these periods.
- Catalogue # Patterns:
The 7" had a cat# starting with NZP. This continued from the HMV days into the EMI days. LPs (so far only on EMI) have cat# starting with P.
- Problems at Discogs / Discussion:
Where should these releases be sorted? at the moment they are all on the HMV (NZ) or EMI NZ pages...
